Ground-Up Built Corvette Restomod 430hp 6.2L LS3 5-speed Street Shop Chassis A/C ///
Representing the third year of the iconic C2 Sting Ray, this 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible has been comprehensively reimagined through a ground-up build that integrates a modern LS3 drivetrain and custom chassis beneath its original design. Finished in metallic silver, the car retains its unmistakable mid-year proportions, including sculpted fenders, functional-style side vents, and chrome bumper treatment, complemented by a black Al Knoch Stay Fast convertible top and chrome 18" C7 Z06-style wheels wrapped in Toyo Proxes 4 Plus redline tires. Side-exit exhaust with heat shields maintains a factory-style appearance while supporting the upgraded mechanical package. Power comes from a Chevrolet Performance 6.2L LS3 V8 rated at 430 horsepower, paired with a Tremec TR3550 5-speed manual transmission and delivered through a Street Shop chassis featuring independent front and rear suspension, QA1 coilover shocks, front and rear sway bars, and power rack-and-pinion steering. Braking is handled by a four-wheel disc system with drilled and slotted rotors. Inside, the cabin is fully retrimmed in custom Al Knoch red leather with silver piping and matching headrests, incorporating Dakota Digital gauges, a Bluetooth-capable Antique Automobile Radio, a wood-rim steering wheel, and a chrome shifter within a factory-style layout, along with Vintage Air climate control. A thoroughly developed restomod, this Corvette reflects a cohesive, performance-oriented build designed for modern driving.
