This example reinterprets that iconic foundation through a no-expense-spared restomod approach, beginning with an original Split Window Coupe body that underwent a nearly three-year, ground-up refinement focused on structural integrity, fit, and finish, including reinforcement of known C2 stress points. Finished in Firecracker Red with a flawless, show-quality presentation, it rides on forged Schott Mach 5 wheels measuring 18" up front and 20" in the rear, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires with a custom red stripe. Power comes from a 525-horsepower Chevrolet Performance LS3 paired with a 4L70E automatic transmission, supported by a brand-new Art Morrison chassis, Strange adjustable coilovers, a Ford 9" rear with 3.73 gearing, Wilwood power four-wheel disc brakes, and power rack-and-pinion steering that collectively deliver modern road manners far beyond a stock C2. Inside, a custom interior by Dale Hancock Upholstery blends period-correct design with contemporary comfort, featuring saddle leather and black suede seating, Dakota Digital gauges, modern air conditioning, German square-weave carpeting, and a discreet modern audio system by Miranda Built with Bluetooth and JL Audio speakers.
