  • Description: SEE MORE PHOTOS OF THIS VETTE AND 100+ OTHERS FOR SALE AT WWW.BUYAVETTE.NET! Code correct Sebring Silver exterior, code correct Dark Blue vinyl interior. Numbers matching 340hp 327ci L76 engine, 4 speed manual transmission. Features include Sebring Silver color upcharge, AM/FM radio, whitewall tires. Car enthusiast or not, nearly everyone can recognize a 1963 Corvette Split Window Coupe — it was the first Corvette Coupe built, 10 years after the Convertible debuted, and was also the first car to wear a Stingray badge, which is just now making it back to the Corvette on the all-new 2014 model after being absent for nearly 40 years. For those that want a ‘63 Split and demand the BEST OF THE BEST, look no further than this FRESH professionally body-off restored example! Showing a mere 16 miles since its completion, EVERY inch of this car has been restored to the highest and most professional standards possible, and there’s no doubt in our mind that this car really is better than new, while still retaining correct parts in nearly every instance. Many would call this car over-restored, as much of the work and craftsmanship that has been put into the restoration is far beyond that of the St Louis assembly plant; in our mind, this is how they should have been built in the first place! Originally assembled on March 1, 1963, this example is truly one of the nicest we’ve seen anywhere. At first glance, what stands out on this car more to us than anything else is its bodylines; while many midyears have been sanded and repainted so many times that the bodylines almost seem to disappear into the panels, this car’s lines are SUPER sharp, crisp, and well-defined, further enhancing the gorgeous natural lines of the ‘63 body. Countless hours have been spent getting the panel gaps to their current perfect alignment, with no body filler used, and correct ’63 fiberglass headlight buckets. Paint is nothing short of OUTSTANDING, with an absolutely gorgeous, mile-deep shine that would put even a factory-fresh paintjob to shame. This car’s paint alone took three years to complete, and the result simply must be seen in person to properly appreciate it. All exterior glass in this car shows a correct date code, and the stainless trim has been pulled, polished, and restored to a mirror finish. Original GM bumpers have just been professionally replated. Weatherstripping is NEW, and has been professionally installed - no loose edges or adhesive runs here! Correct original hubcaps have just been professionally restored. Even the steel wheels that hide underneath the caps have been powdercoated. BF Goodrich Silvertown TA medium whitewall bias-ply tires are BRAND NEW. The interior of this ’63 Split is just as nice as the outside, and has been professionally restored, with NEW seat covers. The new loop carpet in this car has been painstakingly worked and then reworked to fit perfectly, which is certainly not the case with most other ’63‘64 cars that share what is maybe the most complicated carpet kit of any vehicle known to man. Perhaps what is most unusual about the interior of this car is the fact that every panel matches in color, which is almost never the case when dealing with a restored Dark Blue interior midyear. Correct AM/FM radio and its original speaker have been professionally restored, and sound just as good if not better than they did in ’63. Clock is working as well. The numbers matching 340hp engine in this car has been fully balanced and blueprinted with a three angle valve job, and has been completely and professionally rebuilt back to original specs with correct internals. Correct air cleaner, carburetor, intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, ignition shielding, distributor, valve covers, radiator, hoses, and hose clamps are all in place (just to name a few components), and the engine compartment is clean enough to perform open heart surgery on, with correct finishes and paint markings throughout. Hardened valve seats have been installed to make this car unleaded gas-friendly. Correct ’63-only horns are present and restored, which have been known to fetch close to $1,000 by themselves. Frame is super clean, solid, and rust-free, and the suspension has been completely gone through with new bushings throughout. Simply put, this car needs NOTHING! Please note that this car is NOT located on our premises; please call us in advance to schedule a viewing. No stone has been left unturned during this car’s top-quality restoration, and this ‘63 will not disappoint even the most demanding collector — this show-ready car is ready to get loaded up and shipped anywhere in the world, call us before the becomes the prized piece of someone else’s collection! FREE 2 YEAR/50K ADDITIONAL MILE WARRANTY WHEN PURCHASED AT ADVERTISED PRICE, GOOD AT ANY REPAIR FACILITY NATIONWIDE!! Our Price: $149,999. Financing Available with long terms and low rates.
